Science-Themed TV Show Filming in Brazil (March 2025) Freelancers Project

We are managing a project for a prestigious European national television network's science-focused TV series, broadcast during prime time. The program, which emphasizes global awareness and environmental themes, is preparing for a new season featuring 12 episodes. Two episodes will be filmed entirely in Brazil, exploring the nation's geological, cultural, and natural diversity.

Project Overview

• Objective: Production of two 60-minute episodes as part of the series.
• Themes:

  1. Social and anthropological aspects of Brazil, connected to its geological uniqueness.
  2. Naturalistic and geological features of the country.

• Filming Locations:

  • Rio de Janeiro
  • Bahia
  • The Amazon (specific areas TBD)

• Filming Period: March 14–27, 2025 (inclusive of travel days from Europe).
• Inspection Dates: Preliminary technical and editorial inspections to occur beforehand with a small team.

Production Details

• Team Size: 14 members, including:

  • Host
  • Camera operators
  • Drone operators

  • Editorial and post-production crew

• Equipment:

  • Portable camera setups with light tripods and cold lights.
  • Drone for aerial filming (local drone service with Mavic3 Cine model).

• Accommodation: Flights and hotels will be arranged by the production's internal logistics team, with local recommendations appreciated.

Assistance Needed

We are looking for experienced professionals or services to assist with:

1. Permits and Authorizations: Guidance on obtaining necessary filming permissions for the specified locations.
2. Fixers/Local Coordinators:

   • On-ground support during inspections and filming.
   • Assistance with location scouting, logistical arrangements, and troubleshooting.
   • Strong knowledge of the areas being filmed and experience with international television productions.

3. Scientific Expertise:

   • Collaboration with local academics or experts in environmental and scientific fields.
   • Guidance on content accuracy and relevance to the topics being explored.

4. Accommodation Recommendations: Help identify nearby lodging options close to filming sites.
